I’m a PhD student in the Photoactive Materials Group in the Materials Science department at the University of Cambridge, supported by the NanoDTC. My research focuses on understanding and characterising photopatterned polymer structures for optothermal applications, for example for use as coatings for light-harvesting devices. I’m experienced with many microspectroscopic and microscopic techniques, as well as with electromagnetic simulations. I’ve also taught undergraduate and sixth-form students both materials science and related subjects. I’m shortly about to start a UKRI POST Fellowship, exploring the research-policy interface underpinning decisions around energy and environment.
On the side, I’m a local church organist, accompanist and composer. I’m bookable for weddings, funerals or other services, please get in touch.
